Saul Bass
Saul Bass was born on 8th May 1920 and died on 25th April 1996. He spent his life in the film industry, working from the 1940's to the 1990's and in doing so worked with some of the greats in film such as Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, Martin Scorsese and Stanley Kubrick.
Saul Bass is a well known graphic designer and film maker who was most well known for his work on several film posters and opening title sequences. His work on openiong title sequences is the reason we are researching him as his work may give us inspiration for how we may improve ours. A very famous example of a horror that he has worked on is 'The Shining' where he designed this poster:
However his most famous piece of work which got him the most recognition at the time was ' The Man with the Golden Arm' in 1955.
