Props are pivotal when creating certain atmospheres in a horror especially in slasher as if we needed to create a bloody scene we probably would not use a blunt weapon as we would not be able to create a scar with blood coming out whereas if we were to use a sharp object then that sort of injury could be created.
The main prop in our film is the bottle as that is our 'Devil's Drink' which is what the title sequence is based on. We have chosen a see through bottle so that the audience can see the contents which is why we made a drink that looked off putting so that the audience feel as though that drink is going to have some impact on what happens as it does not seem right. We also used a glass wine bottle as that is more suited to a horror scene as it would have been a lot less intimidating and daunting if we were to use another type of bottle such as a milk carton.

An example of other important props we have used in our film are our handheld lights as not only were these here to make sure the camera could see everything we were trying to film, but it added to the realism of the clip as most horrors would have professional lights set up off camera whereas we have made the scene seem more like a real life situation. We have also used them to help our lighting as well as we have produced a scene of one of the actors drinking from the bottle being shown through a shadow on the wall which is casted by the lights.
Another prop we used in the making of our opening title sequence is the devil mask which is crucial for our film as the devil is a large part of what the film is actually based on. This is also a large part what makes our film fit into the horror genre as it provides a fear factor which may startle the audience as we have attempted to create a jump scare with it.
We also used the camera as though it was a prop to give our film a realistic feeling and to show what happened through our experiences. The title sequence being filmed through the perspective of a prop allowed us to attempt a jump scare as we were able to make the audience see things as though it was them filming therefore they can relate with the actors.
